Hi All,
I'm not sure if you have heard or PASS' efforts to start
our Campaign for Gaza, but we are having an event this
Thursday at 7PM at Houston Hall of Flags (Penn's Campus -
3417 Spruce Street - Ground floor). We will collect
donations and present them to the Director of the United
Palestinian Appeal, a certified charity by the independent
charities of America that has been recognized for its
humanitarian work in Gaza. Samer Badawi, the Director, was
also featured on CNN on Jan 6th.

===============================
In light of the recent atrocities being witnessed in Gaza
over the past weeks, the Penn Arab Student Society has
initiated the Penn for Gaza campaign in order to raise
awareness of the delicate humanitarian crisis facing that
region.
As part of the Penn for Gaza campaign, this fundraiser
banquet will aim at raising money for the victims of Gaza.
This banquet is open to the Penn community and
Philadelphia community and will address the humanitarian
aspect of the recent conflict. The money raised at this
event will be donated to the United Palestinian Appeal, a
certified charity by the Independent Charities of America.
The fundraiser will feature speakers from the Penn Arab
Student Society, Penn for Palestine and the director of
the United Palestinian Appeal, Samer Badawi who was
featured on CNN on January the 6th. There will also be
several performances throughout the night.
Free dinner will be provided at this event, and we do
encourage a minimum donation of $10 for this fundraiser.
We will be collecting your donations throughout the
evening.
Hope to see you there!
